The agreement marks SEFE’s first supply partnership with Canada and further expands the company’s diversified global LNG portfolio. The destination-flexible volumes will strengthen SEFE’s ability to serve customers across international markets while contributing to energy security and supply resilience.
Ksi Lisims LNG is being developed by Western LNG, Rockies LNG and the Nisga’a Nation as a low-emission LNG export venture that combines Canada’s abundant gas resources with renewable hydro power. In addition, the partnership with the Nisga’a Nation ensures long-term economic opportunities for local communities and reflects a collaborative approach to developing major energy infrastructure.
Frédéric Barnaud, SEFE CCO, said: “This agreement is an important step in further diversifying SEFE’s global LNG portfolio and securing reliable long-term energy supplies for our customers. Together with Ksi Lisims LNG, we will help strengthen energy security while advancing the transition to a more sustainable energy future.”
Davis Thames, Western LNG Founder, President and CEO, said: “We look forward to working with SEFE to provide its customers with reliable, low-carbon LNG. Secure and diversified energy supply is fundamental to global economic prosperity, and our project is uniquely positioned to meet these priorities. The momentum behind Ksi Lisims LNG is stronger today than at any point in its development and we are excited about the months to come.”
