Our mission is to provide energy solutions that support the transition to a low-carbon society while securing affordable energy for Europe. We believe that gas molecules will continue to play a crucial role, complemented by renewables and other technologies for reducing emissions.

For low-carbon energy to be adopted, it needs to be affordable so that industry and value chains in Germany and across Europe remain competitive. SEFE provides reliable, cost-effective and sustainable energy – facilitating the transition to a decarbonised future.

Since SEFE was first established, we've focused on diversifying our portfolio, both in terms of energy sources and geographical markets. Through long-term strategic partnerships, a stronger international presence and the integration of new commodities and solutions, we’ve built resilience against market volatility, positioning us as a stable and trusted partner for our customers.

In order to secure Europe’s energy supply, SEFE operates on a global scale. Over the last few years, we’ve expanded our footprint in key regions: North America, a driver of global supply growth, Asia, the epicentre of LNG demand, and the Middle East, home to many cost-effective suppliers.

SEFE’s portfolio has evolved beyond pipeline gas to include liquefied natural gas (LNG), power and carbon certificates. We’re actively enabling the development of a hydrogen-based economy and exploring other climate-friendly commodities. This diversified offering positions SEFE as a one-stop energy partner – equipped to meet the growing demand for affordable, reliable and sustainable energy while supporting each customer’s unique decarbonisation journey.

Helping our customers decarbonise

Today, we serve more than 50,000 customers, from industrial companies and municipalities to regional gas suppliers, power plants, multinational organisations and commercial clients. Beyond Europe, we maintain a strong presence in Asia and are steadily expanding our footprint in other regions of the world.
